Women's Service Guild Committees

Here is a list of current committees that form the Women’s Service Guild. Feel free to try any of them. We can definitely find a place for you to use your spiritual gifts.

Altar Guild:

Cares for everything pertaining to Communion. Setting up for the celebration of Communion, cleaning up after the service and cleaning, ironing, and changing of the altar paraments (according to the season). The altar guild also provides Baptismal napkins. (Psalm 95:6)

Helping Hands/Sonshine Kitchen:

Coordinates, prepares, and serves meals after funerals. (1 Thessalonians 1:3)

Plans, prepares, and serves meals at the McKeesport Dream Center. (Hebrews 13:16)

Quilting:

Makes quilts for Lutheran World Relief and other organizations. (Proverbs 31:10-13)

Stamps for Missions:

Collects and clips cancelled postage stamps for Bible Societies that send Bibles to third world countries. (Ephesians 4:12)

Telephone Committee:

Notifies the congregation upon the death of a church member. (1st Thessalonians 4:14)

Bulletin Board Committee:

Decorates bulletin boards in the Fellowship Hall.

Shut-In Cards Committee:

Keeps and updates list of shut-ins and sends cards. (Colossians 4:6)
